General Cycling Discussion - Long Sleeve Jersey

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Hey guys,
Looking for a sturdy, lightweight, long-sleeve jersey suitable for summer riding.
Ideas idea as to which brand is better?
Go to your local MEC, Anaconda, Decathlon, or REI and pick one up.
Yeah, but which brand? Any preference? Are they all the same quality, regardless of brand?
When I select a jersey I go with fit, feel (what's the material like), and overall look. I don't care what brand it is. I'd have a tough time telling you what brand any of my jerseys are off the top of my head.
For summer wear, you'll probably want something with a really comfortable, light, breathable feel to it. You probably also want to go with something light in colour.

The REI cycle brand (Novara) sells a fair priced long sleeve that I like. Only comes in Black or White though.
...sturdy, lightweight, long-sleeve jersey suitable for summer riding...which brand is better?
Past better, the best http://www.boure.com/8605rd.html, more convenient than sun screen, and healthier; very well made.

I wear a white under armour shirt under my jersey if I don't want to mess with sunscreen.
Also there are these things called "sunny sleeves" made for people who are allergic to the sun or do not wish to tan or burn.

I have several pair of "sun sleeve" type of arm warmers. Here in Australia, skin damage from the sun is always a concern and during the summer, it can be a pain to find and wear a good sunscreen (although I have found a good one now) all the time ... so I do tend to wear long-sleeved jerseys or the summer weight arm warmers.
However, when the temperature gets up around 30C, those arm warmers start to get too hot for me.
Before you laugh, listen to me. This is my sunny weather get-up. MTB shorts and a Dickie work shirt. The work shirt has a number of good features:
-In addition to long sleeves, the collar protects your neck.
-You can open or close the front to allow heat regulation.
-These shirts are made for summer wear. They are popular with farmers and other people who work out in the sun.
-They provide a sort of rural-camo. Helpful in areas that aren't particularly bike friendly. Allows you to blend in at the bar or diner.
-50/50 cotton polyester dries quickly.
Very easy to change into a tee shirt or something else if you will be off the bike for a while. Sometimes I'll wear a synthetic wife-beater tee underneath.
If you get the right size they really aren't all that floppy either. I couldn't get through the hot, humid Illinois summer without mine.
