the film was shooted in 1996 in czech republic, maybe it's a hint;i would be very pleased if s.o. could find the name of the bike;thanks, alain.

thanks for your welcome,i was just wondering if i had offended the community, not introducing myself at the beginning,as apparently is usual on the forum.
i'm french and like cycling, although i'm afraid i haven't got enough money to ride a bike, other than a cheap vtt : topbike;it last 3 years, but i buy them for 100 euros in france:130 dollars.
i could make the math, and realize if i pay more,it could last more, alas,in my region, the mediterranean,a bike like that ,don't last even a month when attached outside.
Concerning the vintage bike,it seems to be dutch or english (something similar to a raleigh-superbe?)
the film is a french serial:maigret(from simenon);it's looking at it that my friend couldn't believe her eyes, seeing the bike she dreamt of ,since the 50';but it was impossible for me to pinpoint exactly the true one;the raleigh being the closer.
it would be a great present for her to find it;so if s.o. could tell us it would be awesome.
thanks,alain.

No need for a complete introduction, but it's always interesting to hear about people's backgrounds.

I'd post your questions about your friend's bike in this forum: http://www.bikeforums.net/forumdisplay.php/181-Classic-amp-Vintage. Visitors to that forum are experts on vintage bikes.

The forum you posted in is only introductions.

Welcome to bikeforums!
