Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Wow... hyperbole to make a point, perhaps? More likely to give people a heart attack, but at least no one can say they didn't hear him. Unless they are completely deaf.

Won't spend $8G on a whole BIKE, won't spend it on a horn, either.
AirZound looks good enough to me.

Agreed. Mine is loud enough, thank you. :)

My AirZound is only loud enough if the drivers got his 5000-watt stereo turned off and a window cracked. Soundproofing found in new cars is amazing.
Give me a freight-train horn and ill be happy.

It's a funny story, but no one should seriously consider this.

Aren't overly loud stereos, with subwoofers in cars, the same as wearing headphones while driving? The driver probably can't hear sirens either. There was a fellow in town who had his stereo so loud that when he passed in the street, I had to stop and cover my ears. You could hear him from half a mile or more away, likely. I don't know how he could stand being inside a closed space with that going. He seemed like a very angry person, going by the look on his face.... whew.
