Hi all. I am a newbie of course. Had Schwinn's in the 70's in my teens but Dad bought a Cruiser at a yard sale about 20 years ago but I've had it since he passed 6 years ago.

I am thinking about restoring it for my enjoyment and wonder what the heck I would be restoring. I tend to go overkill when I refresh things but this needs stripped down, powder-coated and some TLC.

I see that it is a Cruiser from the faded label and know it isn't early or of any great value. What is it I am planning to work on? :D

its the standard here to post pictures of the other side of your bike so we can see the crank, and deraileurs. also some close ups of the shifters/brakes may help. from what I can tell it is a low end/ comfort oriented cruiser, probably not your best choice for long rides or fast morning commutes. But as far as just pedaling around the park for fun and sightseeing its a winner. it looks to have a steel frame and fork, mid 80's (?) multiple gears on the back which will help with small hills. It appears to be in decent shape minus the flat tires most likely no more than $200 brand new from a department store??

Thanks, I am just looking to cruise around the block for some cardio type help. I guess I'll put new liners, tubes and tires on it and try it out for now. I'm not a young person. It's been about 2 years since I was last on it. I will fix it up later and pass it on to the Grand-kids.
