Good Morning/Whatever time it is for you,
Long story short, I'm about 5'8"/5'9" and about 270lbs (Large, not fit). I'm looking into getting a bike for fitness and travel to work and not (It's about 1.5 miles, so not far at all).
I was looking into a cheap entry level road bike such as the: Takara Kabuto Single Speed Road Bike (http://www.amazon.com/Takara-Kabuto-Single-Speed-Frame/dp/B0041QF9EQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1336840014&sr=8-1), but that's only because it has raving Amazon reviews and a low price point. Did I mention I'm looking for something semi-inexpensive to start?
To be completely honest, I know nothing about bicycles really, so 1.) I'd like to be educated and 2.) I'm concerned about a road bike being durable enough for someone of my weight, I wouldn't want to pay a couple hundred dollars to have something break on me.
Any and all help/input would be appreciated.
