Finally found a decent rechargeable battery for my LED setup. It actually came from a battery backup for my internet. I change companies and, after waiting about six months for THEM to come and get their equipment, I figured that they didn't want it. So I took it out myself and am now using it on THE BEAST.

Pretty easy to do. I simply took off the large connector that I will still use for recharging, and replaced it with two basic connectors. Rewiring was simple and now everything operates off of ONE toggle located on the handlebars.

The battery itself weighs in at around 3-4 pounds but, when riding a Cargo bike weight isn't really an issue. But safety is.......

I will probably relocate it to underneath the rear rack though. All of those wires and stuff there are just looking to snag something and pull themselves apart!!!!!

Clever solution, Beast.

So what is the black toolbox-looking thing with the Trek logo behind your saddle?

I love your setup, BeastRider. I'm in the process of major revisions to my cargo bike and, as a fellow member of the Brother(and Sister)hood of Conspicuity Nuts, I'm especially interested in your lighting system.

I found a thread where you posted photos of one of your revisions, but I haven't found a description of the details. Would you, please, either point me in the right direction or start a new thread, here or in the lighting/gadgets forum, detailing your arrangement?

Thanks!
