Hi everyone,

I joined this forum because every time I google something bike-related the question has usually been posted and answered multiple times here! So at a minimum, thanks!

My wife, 14-month old daughter and I moved recently to Old Town Alexandria, VA from the New York area (Jersey City), and I was taken aback by how bike-friendly this city is. I haven't owned a bike since I was a kid, but I just got myself a black 2012 Jamis Coda Sport (from a very nice bike shop -- Wheel Nuts in OTA). Very excited about it, especially now that my daughter is old enough to ride in a bike trailer.

I hope to keep at it and put some miles on it. Will even try to commute into my work in the District when my body stops hurting!

Evan

Hello Evan,

Welcome to Bike Forums.

Take many short rides untill your body gets adjusted to riding.

Thanks. I'll also post photos when I get around to taking some good ones. First thing I installed was a bike rack and it's already come in handy carrying little odds and ends

Welcome to the forums. I'm also restarting biking on a rather biker friendly city, Helsinki.
