Hello Guys,

I am considering either the Gary Fisher Paragon or the X-Caliber 29inches wheel mountain bikes. The LBS has promised a price difference of only $200 between the two.

Which one would you buy and why? Also, does anyone see 29inches mountain bikes as a coming standard, or are they destined to be niche products?

Regards

I've ridden several 29ers and just didn't like them. I rode a Karate Monkey and several of GF's 29ers.

I think they'll always be a bit of a niche. I think if you tend to have smooth flowing trails they work well. Tight technical trails with a lot of switchbacks are not good for 29ers.
