I'm subscribed, and just read the recent issue. I think I'm still going to wait until I can afford to retire before I take long trips like that. Until then it will have to be commutes and over-nighters. I still like to read the stories though.

That is the situation with most of us.
Also, it takes a certain very unique mindset to break away from stable life and go away on a bicycle.
I was thinking that I will start touring when unemployed but I am still at home and unemployed from last week.
I have not even done a single overnight trip, yet and just came back this AM from a sleepover at my Mom and luckily I slept soundly due to a 31 mile ride during the day, otherwise I am restless in beds that are not my own.
I am still a little distance from getting used to the idea of wild camping or spending for motels each night and reading such magazines will help a lot to eventually get over the mental thresholds.
