Stefani here. I just started biking about 2 weeks ago. Picked up a doozy at Walmart, Genesis Terra 700c Women's Hybrid Bike. It's certainly nothing to brag about, but it was in my price range for the moment and I like it. One day, I'll get myself a snazzy bike at the LBS, but until then, I'm gonna ride this Terra mother effer into the ground! That being said, I certainly need to look into an emergency kit.
I hope to be able to do a 40 r/t commute to work everyday, eventually, but I have to work my way up to it considering how out of shape I am. For now, I drive about 2 miles away from the office, park the car and bike the rest. Each week, or every two weeks, I plan to drive just a bit farther away from the office for a longer bike ride. Baby steps.
I don't plan on doing any races or anything like that, but I do look for good routes to enjoy. I mainly want the exercise and saving on gas, but I've never really enjoyed the ride until now.
Happy to be here!
