Adaptive Cycling: Handcycles, Amputee Adaptation, Visual Impairment, and Other Needs - New adaptive cycling control system!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I have been a part of a team at the University of Rochester that has created a device that has the ability to be attached to a recumbent tricycle (currently SunCycles EZ classic) and incorporate full braking, shifting of all 21 gears and precise steering into a single handlebar. This bar like mentioned earlier would be bought separate to the tricycle and attached. Upon attachment, the device could be switched from dual arm use to single arm use. Perfect for programs that suit both types of use and easily assembled by an individual with one arm for home use. Any information on this topic would be helpful, and be sure to check out our launch on #Innovocracy. Thank you!

Looks nice. I might as well be half blind, so I can definitely see the benefit of something like this. When I have funds available, I'll definitely contribute.
