Hi there online bicycle world. I'm a keen mountain biker living in S FL hence most of my riding happens on the road (SR A1A) but occasionally get to the local parks for a bit of dust and dirt. My only ride is a Klein Mantra that I've had since 99. Updating her over the years as things wear out or break, currently equipped with Mavic Crossride UB, XT 9spd drivetrain and fox F100X shock. Predominantly ride with 1 1/4 inch slicks to speed things along on the road cause I cover about 100 miles per week. Also hooked to the bike is an Adams tandem trail a bike which I take my 2 girls to school on (I'm the sweatiest parent at the drop off!)

Safe riding to all of you!

Howdy Bytheseabiker,

Welcome to Bike Forums.

How old are your girls?

My girls are 4 and 6 with some jealous classmates. Its nice to start something because now there are three more parents using tag along bikes. I am the only tandem though or for that matter have ever seen!
Dragging the tandem accounts for 25 of my 100 miles per week. Makes me laugh when my friends talk about shaving 30g off their ride and I,m pulling about 147(+me 190lbs) pounds of bike and kids at 14-20mph.
