Hi,

Joined your forum as it looks like a great community here. I'm Irish and married to a Spaniard and we currently reside in Madrid. I've been Road Cycling for many years and while continuing to do so I have over the past 5 years converted more to track racing. My main bikes are a Moda Arco Carbon Track, a Fuji Classic Track (starter track bike and now owned by the wife) a Cannondale Super Six 105, and a Cannondale SL 3 for cross country rides.

I'm not very precious about mine or others gear as beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I'm here to learn and discuss.

Welcome Subsub.
I also live in Madrid (Spaniard but not from Madrid). I mainly do road cycling and when I get the chance I escape to the Sierra for a mountain bike ride.
I've never done track racing although I did the fixed gear thing for a while (mainly commuting). When I want to get my fixed gear fix I do some fixed gear off road in Casa de Campo, great fun on a fixed gear, sort of boring/small on a normal bike.
There is some great quiet roads around Madrid only a short drive away. And if you are willing to drive a bit further, then you can find real lonely roads. If you are new to the area, let me know and I will send you some routes I have done.

Cheers
