So today was a hill training ride with Will. We met at his house for a 36 mile loop and he lives in a, well, not flat area! lol
Hill after hill I tell ya. One was so steep (for me) that I had to call God and ask him for help. He started talking but then Jesus got on the phone and said "get your @ss up that hill boy" and I swear the holly ghost was laughing at me in the background. lol
It was great riding out there. I learned that it is my pace which is slow. I focused on breathing and my rhythm which is not easy when learning the hills. I wish I would have started riding hills earlier. lol
The downhills were amazing, once I got up to 40 mph which was so fast. I had to apply a little pressure to the brakes too. he he he
All in all 36 mile loop at 13.2 mph moving average and about 2800 feet in elevation.
