Classic & Vintage - Anyone else at work today

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Riding. I'm just sitting at work waiting for everyone to get

I hope you're home by now.
Looks like everyone was too busy riding to answer you. :)

Went to the Almonzo 100 this morning.
Very cool gravel road race.
Drove straight back to the cities and picked up the kids for a soccer match in central Minnesota.
Brought my youngest son's 1x1 and bombed around before the game in some gravel pits.
Good humor. :)
I'm doing 48 hours at the fire dept. don't get to go home tul tomorrow morning, gomango sounds like you had an awesome day

Man, that sucks worse than being at work. Get well man.
I'll be at work til 11pm. I was called yesterday too (my day off) to come in at 3am because of some workload issues.

"At work" today, repairing and painting the outside of the windows on our rehab duplex. Now that I am retired, every day is a work day (I just do the work of my choosing).
I just got home from judging a FIRST robotics competition all day at Legoland. This was the big annual final tournament, with middle school students from Canada, Mexico, Alaska, the Midwest, the East Coast, the Rockies, and the West, plus one team from Spain. I do what I can to corrupt the youth of America and elsewhere into pursuing careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering, math).
Went to the Almonzo 100 this morning.
How did you do?

How did you do?
To be very truthful, I only received my doc's clearance to ride again last week.
I've been off my bikes for one and a half months since my accident.
Started riding again last weekend on an old Hercules 3 speed.
Three cracked ribs, torn calf muscle, surgery on my elbow, etc.
I don't heal as fast as I used to.
The good news is six of my friends finished.
Four more than last year.
Beauty of a day here in Minnesota.
Thanks for asking.
Next year you will tear it up.
Unless you get lost. ;)

I was at work yesterday and went for a bike ride. I normally bike to work, which is on the outskirts of town; after I got some work done I went out for a ride in the country in a wide loop before heading home, total of about 30km. Beautiful day... after getting home, I changed to my "city" bike and rode to the Duke of Wellington for a late breakfast (they serve breakfast until 2pm).
I'll probably do something similar tomorrow, which is a holiday (Victoria Day) here in Canada.

That sounds like a blast. I was a Lego god in my youth but Legos are different these days.
I'm up off the couch and well enough to put the new AC compressor in the van. I'll be back on the couch before I'm done but it's nice to swap a busted knuckle or two for bedsores.
