Ann Arbor's first Kidical Mass ride went off this past Saturday, and it was a fun kickoff to what should be a great, monthly affair.
Modeled after the notable Critical Mass rides, this was targeted towards raising awareness of kids on the road, and as a way to safely teach kids how to ride in the road. I think; I wasn't an organizer, but that was my takeaway!
Anyway, we had kids of all ages and ability, from kick-bikes to training wheels, to some pretty quick kids on two wheels. Trailers, tag-alongs, sidecars and cargo bikes all made the ride, too.
I recommend you do a search on Facebook for a group in your town and take the kids out. Or start one up! All the kids loved it, helped by the fact we ended at an ice cream parlor!
