Hi folks,
I'm about to turn 30 and was tired of being overweight and unhappy. I got into cycling last year and found it's pretty much the only exercise that doesn't feel like a chore to me. I started off with what I call "one of the best road bikes you can get at Walmart" (like one of the best cuts of meat you can get at McDonalds), a Schwinn Varsity. I figured if I can enjoy cycling on a cheap, heavy bike and I really want to stick with it, I'll get something better. After about 500 miles, 4 tubes, 5 broken spokes, and countless readjustments, I decided it was time to upgrade. I sold my motorcycle (since if I'm going to have to choose between two 2-wheeled activities, I'll choose the one that doesn't contribute to fat) and picked up a 2011 Specialized Secteur Elite Comp from my local LBS. Loving it so far!
