I am on my last set of Avocet Cross II 26x1.25 K tires. As most of you know they are no longer being made.
For those of you who have used these tires, what tire do you now use that most resembles their qualities?
I like them for their long wear, but especially for their low rolling resistance and toughness. They will be going on my touring bike.

I've got aging Avocet Cross tires on my old Bridgestone RB-T and they've been great tires. I plan on replacing them with Schwalbe Marathon tires. I've been using Schwalbe Marathon (with "GreenGuard") on my Bike Friday, and they've been superb tires. Though the patterns are different, both the Avocet & Schwalbe tires have inverted tread designs. Both seem to last a very long time, and I almost never get a flat with either.

Thanks. Seems like few people on this forum have had experience with these tires.
Continental SportContact comes in two sizes in 26”: 26x1.3” at 350 gm. and 26x1.6” at 500 gm. I use the 1.6”. They seem pretty fast, very comfortable and very puncture resistant. If I were lighter and wanted more speed, I would probably try the 1.3”.
