I am having a few problems with my training it is getting quite annoying. On the trainer after about 30 minutes my right foot begins getting sore then hurting. It is just my foot and not my knee, leg, etc. It is bothering me enough that I end up stopping early, etc. I am thinking it may be my cleat posistion may be bad on my right foot.

Any one have any ideas on this? I am thinking about going to pay for one of those tests where they fix your cleat posistion on the special bike. Any other ideas? I do know I am not having this pain with my SPDs on my MTB or on the road on the road bike.

BTW I am using speedplay X5's.

Thanks as always.

They are a little but If you can tell me somewhere to get 50 cm + shoes I will buy new ones... I have a 15.5 inch foot... That could be the reason...

Holy crap!! That's a big clodhopper.

I've found that direct foot pain (except hotspots) has almost always been shoe related, not pedal. But I guess you don't have many options in that area.....:(

I bet that I might just need to allow the shoe to break in a little. The shoe just fits but with the strap loose it feels fine. For the first 30 minutes it is fine. I may still go get a cleat fitting and see it is helps though...

I hate having big feet.

I hate having big feet.

Don't feel bad...I wear size 11 shoes....for a woman, that's considered kinda big..... It kinda goes with my height so it's not too bad....lol

I have foot pain but I was diagnosed with PF (Plantar Fasciitis**...but since I have been cycling and working out the pain has greatly diminshed from a year ago.

I had bad hot foot until I tried some Specialize Body Geometry inserts with the metatarsal arch. My feet are very happy now. I had tried Soles and other $30+ inserts but none worked until the Specialized. They're about $20 and may be worth a try.

where on your foot is the pain? i had fott pain, mainly on the outside, and knee troubles. i got some lemond lewedges. my problem was that i rolled outwards on my feet, so there was uneven pressure. i used to wedges to angle my shoe outwards, and pain was almost gone after one ride, then completely gone on the next.
