I was the recepient of a very nice gift and now have $150 to spend at my LBS.

Do not need jerseys or shorts.

On my short list are:
Hydration pack with storage (could be used for biking and for scouting day hikes). Leader right now with the decision between the Camelback Blowfish (reported) MULE and MULE NV, so any feedback on those appreciated.

New helmet, as mine are all 2005 vintage or older.

New glasses, with prescription lenses

New tires for the roadie and mtb

Open for other suggestions.

Come on Foo, help me spend this money that is burning a hole in my pocket.

Thermal detonator

If they're out of those, how bout one of these? I got the headset version for my Salsa. They make a workstand and seatpost version too. Clothes and tires are boring.

You should buy shorts or a bike jersey.

My LBS does not stock any Steelers or Penguins wear.

I have a CAMELBAK Mule (military/tactical version) and it’s pretty kickass. Lots of pockets and loops for gear, small items, etc. Carries pretty well, but I don’t like it a whole lot as a cycling pack (maybe it’s just me, but it seems to make me too heavy on my hands). Basically bulletproof as far as packs go. Mine did severe duty with me in Baghdad as a “jump kit/EMS supply bag” and looks brand new give or take a couple of stains. No damage to the material itself, or the zippers.

Shocking. Go for some nice bibs then. Avoid cowboys apparel, as someone in TX is likely to get homicidally angry at the the way the team is run at some point.

Hmmm, LBS. Everyone knows they're grossly overpriced. So $150 will get you a water bottle. Maybe.

Ok, seriously - I second the camelbak mule. Great hydration pack, 100oz bladder, plenty of pockets. I use mine for long hikes as well as epic mtn bike rides. 2005 is pretty vintage as far as helmets go. They recommend replacing every 3-5 years and the new ones are lighter and allow more air flow. Good luck making a decision. :|

Hydration packs are passé. Get a couple of insulated bottles, monogrammed.

I would load up on tubes & patches, but you might encounter less stickers than I do. Gloves, lights, tune up, water bottles, hat, new pump, tools.

Penguins wear.
