Pacific Northwest - Hey, we just did a feature on a Spokane rider

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hey with a photographer I run a blog called A New Bike. We do short features on cyclists. We find almost all the cyclists just out on the streets, talk for 20 minutes or so, then edit what we have and put it online. Anyway, we spent a little time in Spokane over the weekend and did two features on cyclists there. The first one is up now:

The second will be up on friday. Has anyone commuted in Spokane? Lots of snow, I think.

Wow - I've got the same frame and same first name! In the PNW as well - what are those odds? Cool feature.

Very cool. I run a steel frame for my commuter, but I think someday when I've got some bucks I wouldn't mind having a carbon road bike too. How do you like it?

Yeah, I like the Fuji quite a bit - my first carbon bike. It's on the heavier, mid-grade side for a carbon frameset - especially the fork. Kinda long story how I got it...but it works well for my riding style and what I paid.

I kept my steel Bianchi and parted ways with an alloy one that was similarly spec'ed but had a geometry more for racing.

+1.
Catch that man on a Cascade pass some day.

SF, you may have to taste ID hills & mts for a better chance.
You could a lot worse than having to homebase in Ketchum or some other resort area.

Hope you have been enjoying the content on the site. For those of you that are reading this for the first time I wanted to show you the latest project that we did. Her name is Randee Sue and she is paralyzed from the waist down. She is 28 and rides her bicycle almost everyday.

You can find her story (here) (http://anewbike.com/randee-sue/).

Enjoy. Thanks for the support.
