My 1987 Trek 1000 has a hodge-podge of components. I'm thinking of replacing the brakes with some brakes with a little more stopping power.
These are the type of brakes that are on the bike. (http://velobase.com/ViewComponent.aspx?ID=1984ed04-207f-433d-a825-fefbefd62dd0&Enum=117) They're in good shape, but not perfect.
If I wanted to sell these brakes, where would be the best site to post them? I was thinking Ebay would be better than Craigslist. I have no experience with Ebay. Should I post a minimum price? Is there a better place to try to sell them? I honestly have no clue. If I sell them on Ebay, I know someone who sells books on Ebay for profit - should I ask him if he could post them for me?
Should I even bother? Do you think some one somewhere would be interested? They don't stop as well as a double pivot caliper, but they do look awfully cool.
