I'm running a DA chain on a sram group. While I was just cleaning it, I lost one half of the quick link, so I put on a power link I had from a scram chain. Will this be ok? I mean, they are the same size, length, and width as the KMC quick link I just lost, right? I havent ridding it yet, so I didn't want to get to far away from home and have a mechanical.

thanks,

RD

It should work ok. The only difference could be a fraction of a mm difference in width, if any.

Yes, I ran thousand of kilometers like that. It might give you the barest audible click as it goes around though; took me a while to figure out what that faint, almost imaginary noise was. Getting a card of ten KMC links off Amazon solved it. (I only used one, smart alecks).

But it's fine. You can leave it that way until you get around to getting some KMCs.
