As a 21 year vet I thank all of you for your kind words but our day comes in November, Memorial day is to honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country and communities.

Unless I'm wrong, and this would NOT be the first time, everyone who serves risks their life so we can have the freedom afforded us by our constitution. While we greatly appreciate the sacrifices made by those who paid the ultimate price, we are also reminded of those of you who risk paying that price, too. So, I stand by my "Thank You", and may you never qualify to be remembered on this day for the literal definition!

And I'll say it again in November!

I hear ya, I'm not knocking you or anyone else for saying thank you to a vet. I'm just asking that we keep in mind that this weekend is for those who sacrificed, and when you raise a flag or a beer or a drink this weekend do it in their memory and save ours for November.

We have been involved in wars for 10+ years. I have many friends who went to Afganistan or Iraq and served. I have lost friends in both those wars. Some of my friends that came back have changed. They may have survived.......they too paid a price.

I will honor and thank our fallen servicemen. I'll thank the others today, again in November and as often as I can.

It's hard to imagine any other possible outcome...

If you look at history, the US has been involved in conflicts nearly every year since WW2 started. It's shocking.

This is splitting hairs bro. Doesnt matter how you spell it if the intent was whole hearted and thoughtful!
