Hey Sampson, welcome to the Forums.

Nice Bike BTW, as far as any organized rides, I'd check first with my local bike shop. Those are usually the guys racing or have the low-down on the racing scene!

Good Luck

I have a mountain bike, but I ride whereever I can go. Sometimes the Katy trail, (for distance the Katy trail is flat), sometimes the Chubb trail (this trail is infamous for trashing bikes, it is even a rough hike!). Most of the time I ride on the rural roads by my house. I have never had a road bike, so I can't begin to imagine how fast I could go on a road bike!??!!:D
