Mountain Biking - Marzocchi MX Comp 2005, anyone?

I was thinking of getting them as last years mx comp got good reviews, but does anybody have this years? if so can tell me about them and what travel either 85 or 105mm is best suited for my weight 75kg (170lbs). I don't do drops or anything, just thrashing through gravel woodlands with a series of ditches.

Also any comparable forks like Rockshox Duke worth looking into? i have under £150 ($275 usd) to spend.

I have the 2004 MX Comp (85mm) but I haven't ridden it enough to give it a good review. Considering that my last fork was Rock Shox Mag 21, I'm probably not the best person to rate forks anyway :)

The good:
- Feels VERY sturdy. The legs and brace are very solid.
- It can be run as either a Coil or an Air fork by simply removing the coil springs and increasing the air pressure. I got an email from Marzo confirming this was fine and wouldn't even void the warranty.
- Love the air valve. Much easier to use than my old RS.
- Looks great!
- VERY active. Much more than my old RS. Even with relatively high air pressure, it activates on some small bumps I know my old shock wouldn't budge on.
- Cheap! I paid $179 for my 2004.

The bad:
- It's heavy. Coil version is about 4.3 pounds. Air setup is still over 4 lbs.
- The rebound adjustment is internal so you have to remove the air valve to get to it.

I have a set of the 05's on my rock lobster. They're ok but ive got fox floats on my other bike and they're not in the same league as those im afraid. They're still bedding in and feel fairly smooth, however u need to be very careful to set the rebound pressure otherwise they tend to clunk back down with a rather nasty metallic clank. For the money they are a good set of forks but i wouldnt buy a set(they came fitted on my bike) i would save my cash and get a set of Rock Shox Rebas or Fox Floats.
