A stray dog showed incredible loyalty, willpower and endurance, after she ran an extraordinary 1833 kilometers (1,056 miles) between China and Tibet. The small dog followed a team of cross-country cyclists after they fed her. She ran with them for 24 days, traveling from Kangding Sichuan province in China, to Lhasa in Tibet.

What say you? Cool, or what?

Cool. Who would think that a dog like that could run so much, and so far? I like that they considered the dogs need to rest sometimes.

Of course following the food source is probably the most important thing in that dogs life. Bailey will stop chasing a squirrel, or wrestling and romping with another dog,or almost anything just for a dog treat. Now he does a "squirrel sprint", and runs back to me automatically, and licks his lips.

That's a great story. Reminds me why I'm a dog person.

I expected at least a medium sized dog. I never thought one that small could do that.

one that small

50 to 60 km a day is amazing, and not much bigger than a pup.

What I like is that she became the team motivator.

What a cool story! I know I couldn't ride that far, and she ran it without trouble.

I just watched a video of the dog and the riders on TV. It shows the dog trotting along and the dog riding in the bike. The story says someone adopted the dog. It looked like one of the riders kept him.

On the local TV news today.
