Royce Unions seem to get bad reviews here. I think I'd be buying it as much for the lights, rack, pump and basket as for the bike.

It IS a nice looking bike. While not the best quality, they do make decent riders . I don't know what the asking price is, but if it is in as good condition, as it looks in the pix, && all you need is a decent ride,, $100 any day.

$80 is a good price for the bike with all the extras if it rides. Looks to be a 60's model. You should be abel to tell the age when you look at it. The manufacture date should be clearly stamded on the rear hub.

As a recent convert from the Road Forum, $80 is the cost of mediocre Spandex. This would be an add-on to the Dunelt I've already made ready for my husband.

I couldn't help myself. Just home, so no pictures yet. The hub is dated January, 1961 and there seems to be an oil port (?) in the bottom bracket. It has what I would classify as very light wear and the lights work, front and rear. The frame pump is still shiny and the pegs for it are painted the same color as the frame, black. The splint basket's leather straps are in very good condition. Chrome sparkles. Everything is stamped or decaled "England", including the lights. Would you have purchased this one for $80? I'm not looking to "flip" for profit, so please be kind. I think the rear Pletscher rack may have been a more modern addition, but it's the classic style.

I'll replace the cables, tires,and maybe the seat. It has what appears to be the original Wrights saddle. Thanks for not talking me out of this one. If your responses are positive, I'll share them with my husband.

Thanks, not looking to make a profit! I am amazed at the condition of the chrome and paint. With almost no effort, the chrome sparkles. The wheels are stamped "Dunlop England." I'm thinking that with all the other "England" and lion emblems that this one was made there.

I have a beloved lady's Sports (1973) gifted to me by surprise by anothe BF member, but I think I will also ride this one since my husband seems lukewarm about it. I bought a Dunelt for him a couple of weeks ago and he seems very pleased with it.

Yes, if I wanted that type bike to ride, I would buy it. Where I live, you could get your money back , even with removing the rear rack & lights.[ value $ 50 ] Be sure to service bearings , etc. I have seen a few with bottom oil ports , but prefer grease in there.

I hope to take some pictures later and I'll get it to my mechanic for new cables and brake pads. He prefers to work on clean bikes. Everything seems to function and the gears shift smoothly. The chrome has none of the minor discolorations I've seen on the other bicycles I've brought home; even the lights are near perfect. The pedals seem to have the most wear and it's nice to think that the bike was well used, but maintained in such good condition.

While my friends seem to enjoy poking fun at this new hobby, I like to remind them that they spend more on their nails than I do on transportation.
