I have 1990 600 cannondale that local cannondale dealer ruined by clamping seat tube hard. I am looking for a frame to put in use the beautiful 105 shimano components. Any comments, frames?

Size? Steel or aluminum? STI or DT shifter?

Hopefully, you're looking for a new dealer too.

+1

Need size, material preference, geometry (was your 600 an SR600 criterium geo? Do you want similar or something else?)... Looks like the '90 SR600 had 7-speed SIS with DT shifters.

I agree! That being repeated what size? are you looking for steel? Alloy? Something old or newish?

but if a mechanic in a reputable shop broke your frame the owner and mechanic should be getting oyu a new Cdale frame or at the very least buying it. If it was a shade tree mechanic type deal Caviet Emptor to you. Liability and damages are the two main reasons I don't hang out a shingle.

Looking for a 58cm frame. I am open to anything road bike wise. Just like to put components to good use. My biked looked exactly like the one mentioned in above post. I took it in after I found damage and they swear they didn't do it. I would have to hire an attorney and don't know if I would prevail. I was home before I found damage. I don't trust frame with crushed seat tube. I have a different dealer!!!
I would love a frame in great shape like my old one but so far I've only seen junk. I bought a 2010 trek 520 so am not without wheels! It was a carryover at a very reputable shop. I should have took the cdale to trek shop but I bought the c'dale where it was damaged and figured they knew how fragile the old al frames were! I felt like punching the mechanic but I am too old to do any punching!
Thanks for the posts!

Well there is always the internet. If they have facebook you can post there. Are they a Cdale dealer? write Cannondale and tell them. Unless you had a home repair stand I think it would be hard to do the same kind of damage at home.

I have 23" '87 Bianchi Sport SX frame not doing anything at the monent but it has a few rust spots. It is New Rose color which is sort of a light red.

Check over in the regular C&V thread in the Frame pass around game, or Trade threads.

My advice is just find a complete bike instead, with comparable components. Then transfer the components later if you want, and sell off the left over parts to fund the entire process.

+1 Dealer should be stepping up right now.

Too bad your not in the Denver area the local bike coop is looking to sell a bunch of frames and there are a couple decent road frames about that size. But the sale will be a cash and carry one day thing no shipping its just too much of a hassle.

There are Cannondale frames on eBay. With a little patience, you can probably find a duplicate of your old frame.

Thinking of this frame for my 105 components. Will they work? I'm new to working on my bikes but not riding so need my hand held! Here's the link 180892421593 on ebay.
thanks
