Today was another 42 on SART with Herb and Alyce. Shocked that they showed up on singles but hey, riding is riding he he! Not sure what it was but today everybody seemed to want to go at an easy pace. Maybe winding down with the three day weekend. I was close to throwing the towel before we even started. I didn't want to get out of bed but if we don't ride, I'd just get bored or Gina might make me wash her car again ha ha!
Tammy and Alan also showed up at the start but did their own thing as Tammy is healing from an injury. But we all ended up at the coast together, as usual. There we ran into Flying Merkel and his smooth looking bike. We chat for a bit then he heads off. The dude has this cool look on his face all the time. Like a Mickey Rourke crossed with some Humphrey Bogart. Friendly cool dude though but I think The Fonz would say he had met his match if they were to meet. The Fonz, meaning Fonzie from Happy Day for you younguns.
Did see Krylon at the coast with a quick wave then again at the Leaky Fountain for a few friendly words. Of course on the return Alan pulls his "we'll ride back with you but we'll be real slow" usual comment. I need not mention he picked up the pace and raced back, we all knew it was coming. ;-)
Just another day with friends on the trail and at the beach stop.
