"The 33"-Road Bike Racing - Carbon Fiber Garbage

I spent the weekend throwing out junk. (I was in one of those moods)

Over the years of racing I've collected quite a bit of broken carbon fiber parts (don't ask cuz I don't want to think about it too much)

Trouble is, I just don't have the heart to throw it out. I know I'll never use it again, I know the stuff is worthless but I have a connection to this stuff.

What do I do?

I could keep it in the basement and wait some more until I'm ready to throw it out. I could hang it on the wall as art. Or I could put it in the garbage today.

Certainly I'm not the only guy with this type of collection. Wondering what others have done.

Ive got a garage full of crap. From cycling, and from racing motorcycles. Everything has a story.

some of things I no longer have, I wish I did.

Ive been staring a few milk crates full of plaques (podium spots) from when I raced m/c's...I keep threatening to scrap them but cant get it done.

If you want to recycle I think that Specialized has a program.

Depending on what the items are....Jeannie is racing for me this summer and her man is into CF repair. Might see if he's interested in taking any of it on. I have a lot of stuff sitting around as well. Let's just say you know the jokers who make me want to yell, "it's because of you that we can't have nice things".

....and yes....I am still wasting time on here.

Nope I don't think so, not many anyway. I haven't been in the Fixed forum since back in the day with fixer and [165] posts.
