Looks like beans. How are they different?

Until tonight, I wouldn't have known a difference.
These beans are full of bitter alkaloids that can not only make you sick, but taste like crap. It's supposed to take two weeks to get the crappy alkaloids out of the beans by soaking them in water, draining and soaking them in water again and again and again. Eventually, you are supposed to have a snack.
I get very bored and stuff like this interests me. I'm strange.

Couch,
How will you keep the sheets from blowing off the bed at night?

The experiment continues. I boiled and simmered them in water, olive oil and salt for an hour. Now, it's time for the rinse, drain and repeat cycle.
I'm anticipating an exciting two weeks.

What's the end product going to be most similar to?
What do we win if we guess how many beans are in the jar? My guess is 42.
What's the end product going to be most similar to?
A toaster oven.

I already have. I even posted naked pictures of myself while taking said bubble bath. I'm disappointed none of you made any remarks about my cute little tushy.
So disappointed.

That's a lot work for a couple of handfuls of beans.

I'm easily amused.

I just actually read this thread and now I have a sad too. I have been reading the title only and I have been reading it as "Tonight I purchased a pound of sweet Lupini Bears." I was not sure what a Lupini Bear was, but in my mind, it was a delectable Italian candy good enough to entice a unicorn named Charlie into a cave of terror. When I found out it was just beans is when my sad appeared.
Perhaps you should toss some out your window and see if a beanstalk grows into the heavens.

Two weeks for beans? I have a hard time waiting a half hour for pizza.
The directions mentioned to avoid eating the skin of the beans. You could possibly cause poo damage to your shorts because of the high fiber content.
So now after 2 weeks work you can only eat part of the damn beans.
