We use old Dia Compe Aero levers with the levers removed.
My wife likes them better than the Cane Creek ones and they are lighter if that matters to you.

I've used some of those Dia Compe levers on a single bike, and I would not recommend them - the hoods are way too narrow and hard, not comfortable at all; the Cane Creeks are way better. Also see if you have any friends who have any crash-damaged integrated shift/brake levers hanging around - they might give them to you for free. It should be possible to remove most of the internals and levers from most models.

Yeah, my stoker loves the comfy feel too. They are definitely a bit wider than whatever we had previously and she likes that along with the soft rubber. But we almost need to upsize the bar width because the stoker thumbs now tend to get brushed by the outside of my hams.
However, as the mechanic I give the internal plastic body a big thumbs down. Ours cracked upon initial install and "thumb" tightening with a simple allen key and they could be a lot lighter.

okay, my stoker didn't like them, preferred the bullhorn bar instead. Eventually to ebay with them I guess.
