I ride a "bent" 15 miles each morning from 5AM to 6AM through the streets of Union County's Summit, New Providence, Berkeley Heights, Gillette and Morris County's Chatham Township.... pant pant.... I rode a "wedgie" for many years until I had this really dumb accident and had to have back surgery. I am a 55 year old father of 8 kids and find 5AM the only time of day or night I can rely upon for riding. I absolutely love riding my bicycle rain, snow, shine or frozen morning air! See you in the early morning pre dawn darkness!

I'm a 43yo father of two kids, and I find it challenging to find the time to ride. Have you instilled in any of yours the love and appreciation of bicycling? If so, how?

Actually my kids (all 8 of them) ride bicycles but are not interested in the serious riding I do. We take the kids to the PA, Delaware Canal Tow Path for riding a couple of times a year (about a 10 mile ride). Now that the TowPath has been washed out from the September floods we will have to find another location for family rides (other than the biweekly neighborhood rides). And, if I may, I like the solitude. :)

The NJ path, which runs from Trenton to Frenchtown, remains passable and pleasant, you know. Numerous places to park along the way, such as the popular Bulls Island. I find the NJ side slightly less-scenic than the PA path, but still enjoyable.
