Clydesdales/Athenas (200+ lb / 91+ kg) - I turned 30 today

I've been in sort of a sour mood all day and I'm guessing the reason is I turned 30 today. How the hell did that happen? It seems like just yesterday I was graduating high school! :twitchy:

Happy B-day! Yea I understand how you feel I am 27 and the last 7 years seem like a blur. To make matters worse I have a 7 year old daughter and since she was 5 (I was 25) she has called me old man. That really made me feel old!!

Thanks for the b-day wishes everyone! It was a pretty boring one. My bike's been in the shop all week so I couldn't even go for a ride! I did manage to hike Mt. Si yesterday though. I think my 30's are going to be way better than my 20's. I was never good at being a kid anyway. I've already got some grand plans for this year too! I'm riding a double metric century next month, STP (200 miles in 2 days) in July, climbing (on foot) Mt. St. Helens in July, Mt. Adams in August (2 day trek with some glacier climbing on day 2!), my first triathlon in August and all the bike riding I can handle in between all that! If only I could finally meet that Swedish supermodel that is into all the same stuff as me and fall madly in love, life would be grand!!!

When you find it, it will be in the strangest places i meet my partner on the train at 5am in the morning on the train to the city for work.

I had my last kid when I was 30, sheesh 10 years ago... 30 is a great decade, young enough to have fun, old enough to make enough money to pay for the stupid mistakes you will make by believing that you can still do the things you could in your 20's.

Happy B-day froma fellow 30 Y.O.. You'll be fine man, I enjoy everyday and don't let age get to me. I look at it as I made it to 30 and still love life, the furture can only be better from here! I wouldn't go back and trade my life or age for anything. But I do hear ya, H.S. doesn't seem that distant.

Happy Birthday! 30 is a great age. Make the most of it. It's not so old as you think, I have kids older than you and I'm not old yet! You have so much opportunity if you only grab it. That supermodel is not going to knock on your door, you'll have to go out into the world and find her.
