I have been riding faithfully in the winter slop on the streets and try to clean my bike off after each ride, but when I go to ride the next time my headset seems stiff. It must be getting grit and water in there. Any easy ways to keep it clean and to clean it now? Thanks.

Get front fenders.
Do not spray water directly into the headset gaps when washing.
Use marine bearing grease when re-packing.
If your headset is stiff it is either too tight or contaminated, check it asap.

A few headset have a port for grease injection which is an easy way to remove crud from inside. If you have a std headset there is no easy way, you have to disassemble.
When you reassemble your headset, pack it full of grease and put a section of inner tube around the lower race to seal out the crud.

Thanks, the headset in question is part of my suspension. I know it sounds weird, but the bike is a 98 Cannondale F2000 with a Fatty Headshock. Will this be really difficult to disassemble?

I bought some fenders about 2 months ago, got home and they didn't fit. I found out I need a special one for Cannondales, yet no one knows anyone who makes them. Let me know if you of someone that makes them.
