I'm about to head out for another Bicycle Ride Across Georgia. http://brag.org/brag2.html
It has been a hectic week and I'm doing most of my packing at the last minute. After a short nap I'll meet my friend, Twiggs and drive to catch the bus from the end location to the start. Many miles of North Georgia Hills await.

Looks like you had a great ride!
Good looking pictures and a good looking ride. I wish we had something like that over here. I take that back, it's pretty hot over here now and I don't think I would do it in this heat. Anyhow it looks like you had a great time. Thanks for the picture show.

Great report BD, I nominate you for best documented rid, picture wise, of the year. Glad you had a good time. I couldn't tell, which bicycle did you ride for BRAG?
Good picture story; reminds me of rides I've done in past years. How hot/humid did it get?

I plan on doing this next year. Just not in shape enough yet for this year.

It was a great week. Probably the hilliest BRAG ever, but one of the most scenic and fun to ride. The final ride on Saturday was maybe the prettiest ride I've ever done. I rode Black Betty, the Roubaix with a compact crank and 12-30 cassette. I'm glad I had the larger cassette, but still would have welcomed the lower gearing of a triple on a few of the steepest climbs.
We really lucked out on the weather this time. The temps were much cooler than normal for BRAG, rarely making it into the 80s with a few cool starts in the upper 50s. I usually sleep on a sheet on BRAG, but actually zipped up my sleeping bag a few nights this time. We had thunder storms with hard rain all night on Sunday, but it stopped before we rode Monday. Tuesday was a steady hard rain for the first 35 miles of the 52 that day. The rest of the week was clear or partly cloudy with no more rain. It has been like monsoons since soon after I got home Saturday.
The turnout was very low this year. I heard there were less than 900 riders. In the 90s there would be over 2000 of us each year. It is always lower for the North Georgia routes, although these are always the best rides. Next year BRAG will cross the boring, flat, bug infested plains of South Georgia and there will undoubtedly be more riders. Go figure.

Enjoyed the pics, looks like a good time was had by all.
Great pics. Wish I could have done it, but job stuff got in the way.
