Iīm spanish 27 years old boy who will move to NYC in september and iīll live here for one year at least, Iīm very excited with this new proyect in my life but one of the things I donīt wanna leave in Spain is my bike and my hobby.
I wanted to know if itīs a good idea to bring my bike with me. I guess that I wouldnīt be the only person who loves cycling in New York so I wanted to know if there are organized rides out of the city, cycling clubs or something like that

Yes New York City has a very active cycling community. There are several clubs who organize rides around and out of the City, miles and miles of bike lanes, bike races, and this summer we'll have BikeShare. You'll need a good lock and it's a good idea to wear a helmet but you should definitely bring your bike.

Iīm from a city near to Basque Country
Iīll bring my bike with my surely, but not to move in NY, I couldnīt be calm with my 3000$ bike locked outside my work or the gym. I wanna ride about 3h-4h on my freedays, I hope to find people to do that
