Mountain Biking - Giant trance or Reign anyone?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I was just curious if anyone has had a chance to ride Giants new bikes for 05. The suspension looks very similar to IH dw-link hollowpoints but dunno for sure. They are nice looking bikes anyhow.

I have one of the new 05 giant hardtails but havent had a chance to ride one of the new full sus bikes. Although i was speaking to one of the guys at my LBS who said that the people who had already bought them had given good feedback on the ride. I also doubt that it was just some sales pitch as i had already put my bike on order with a deposit.
Id like to see one in person. I dont think my lbs has them in stock yet.
heres the link btw

Got to try a Trance One Today, did not like the ride at all and looking at the area where the bottom bracket yolk is, there is no chance in hell I'd get one.
I have Trance 2 which won the 4" FS of the year award, nice sweet ride (in the snow) can't wait until it drys up
The Trance is probably the best riding FS bike I have ever ridden (years, nay, decades beyond the NRS), but I will say the shock mount gives me huge concern. It is VERY thin, and doesn't look like its really reinforced in any manner. Then there is the entirely open hollow downtube... after a year I will probably buy one if there are no major issues, but as of right now I'm a bit nervous of the whole shock mount/BB area.
