I don't think I am really doing it right on my EZ-1. How should you switch gears on the EZ-1 ? Like from a higher gear to a lower and a lower gear to a higher? I know you should be pedaling right? Should you use the brakes at all? I didn't think at the same time you were changing gears.

I didn't think it was possible. I really didn't. He's beaten MERTON at his own game.

I don't understand the question. Of course you keep pedaling; otherwise you'd slow down! And you should never downshift unless you're going to stop, because downshifting makes you go slower!

-- These sound like really BASIC questions that are hard to handle via email. May I suggest you ask at the bike shop or find a local bicycling/recumbent club. They would be happy to work with you.
