The nutritional info on each of our energy snacks (Gu gels, Shot Blocks, etc.) has a different sodium/potassium ratio. In addition, some have more sodium than potassium, while some have less sodium.
For the average person (not a racer) on long rides (40+ miles), who doesn't sweat profusely, is there an ideal ratio?
I read an article last week online (can't find it now...) which said contrary to popular thought, energy products should provide more potassium than sodium.
