ok so its almost my birthday, jan 30, and im thinking about getting my parents to buy me the new wheelset i wanted....its on sale at pricepoint for 99.98, the deore disc hubs with rhyno lite wheels, i ride xc and lite freeride so im thinking these wheels should do me pretty well, plus i want to get a front disc brake next season but have to cope with my rim brakes for now, so they are good for making the jump.
anyways, my question is, what will the approx. shipping cost be to get these wheels sent to me? are they considered oversized or oer weight packages? and is it worth getting them shipped to me?
thx in advance boys

Well i buy all my parts online, i think it will cost you 25-35 to ship, looking at other listings on ebay that is the general trend
Well, if it's for sale at Pricepoint, they should tell you...you might need to try checking out, or they might have shipping rates listed.

i saw the shipping rates....i was just wondering whether or not a wheelset is considered oversized or overweight package....cause then theres a tagged on fee that almost doubles the shipping...

Call them on their 800 number and ask. I don't think a wheelset box is going to be oversized. A complete bike, or a set of rollers would be. Wheelset? Doubtful.

IT may though, your shipping two wheels so the box is not very small, plus all of the padding adds more size.

I noticed that pricepoint is rather ambiguous... I'd call them for sure. That's not a bad price for that wheelset, though. :)
My rhyno lites/xt hub wheelset with a pair of wtb vilociraptor tires should be here from pricepoint today.
Shipping charge is $20.00 based on amount of purchase only, no oversize charge that I could see on the online bill.

Umm, I think it was 50 USD. Yeah, it was. I read it. Way too pricy.

Also, buying from the U.S. usually means duties and shipping delays due to customs checks.
If you get things internationally, do not use Fed Ex or UPS as you will get hit hard with duties (taxes). All is good if USPS is the shipper though (most of the time anyway)
