Opening ITT won by Rik Verbrugghe for Lotto Adecco. It was very short - his time was 4'14+".
Five stages to go.

Well, gee marty I wouldn't complain too much- you still get OLN while we're stuck watching Lumberjack woodstock on Overwieght Loser Network Canada.

Anybody know if there's a web-site?
Yes, there is: http://www.letourderomandie.ch/
It is in French, but it is easy enough to find stage profiles and results.
Today, it was +8C and raining. During the one hour broadcast on Eurosport, about five minutes showed the race. They couldn't even get pictures from the finish.. Giovanni Lombardi (Acqua Sapone) won the sprint, and Verbrugghe keeps the overall lead.

Yes, even the live web feed was lost for the last few miles. Also, Markus Zberg and Danilo Diluca bailed out, and Alex Zulle was in some kind of crash. Sounds like the conditions were just ghastly!
Dario Frigo won stage 2 today. Weather not much better, but at least the TV came through.
I wish they would adopt the cameras used in motor racing - the ones with the "self cleaning" attachments at the front. :)
Cheers...Gary
Lombardi, Ruskys, Hunter in Stage three. Weather still cold and very wet. They are earning their dough in this one.

I caught the last bit on Eurosport web site. It sounds like the weather is just horrible there. It's not much better here, so I sympathize- today it's cold, windy and rainy. Fortunately, I don't have to go up mountains.
Not pleasant weather at all, but surprisingly few abandons. There are still 117 of 130 riders left.
Acqua & Sapone pulled hard the last 20 kilometres, and Lombardi commented afterwards that the team wanted to show Cipo that they were ready to work for him in the Giro.

Zulle, Moncoutie, Santiago Perez in stage four. At least the weather changed - they finished in falling snow. :(
Cheers...Gary
Frigo, Zulle in the contre-le-montre, and Frigo overall. In the rain again.

I was really hoping Zulle would pull out more than 1:11 over Frigo and win. This was a race she should have had, by rights. Brilliant performance. I Hope the STdF was watching.
