the park tools website has a good photo tutorial section for fixing problems. As for videos on you tube there are lots of good ones the best thing to do is just type in the problem your having and watch a few videos till you find one that makes the most sense to you.

A video is certainly one way to see the procedure done in real time, but there are some cautions:
1. Any procedure is subject to what I call Don's Rule: There's no such thing as a routine repair. With a video, even more than with a written procedure, what you see is a very cleansed version with none of the stuck, bent or just plain wrong things that you might encounter.
2. Anyone can make a video, and many give you no indication of how complete is the knowledge of the presenter. Some have flat-out wrong info, othersdo not show a complete picture or efficient methods.
3. Even a knowledgable person may not know how to give instructions. In fact, many times someone who has done a procedure hundreds of times neglects to mention subtle but important steps - because they do them automatically.
4. Recommendations you get here are not automatically good ones - they may be from the person who made the video, or from someone who is not in a position to evaluate the accuracy of the video.
That being said, there's nothing wrong with getting all the knowledge you can, and many repair procedures are not easy to describe just with words and still pics, so use them as a part of the learning process.

Which is why I was saying Let's see some good ones.
As a new cyclist I'm trying to learn all I can about the care and maintenance of my bike. There's a *ton* of vids on YouTube, but almost so many that any really good ones are drowned out by 10's or 100's of others.

Seems like it's a long gone day when I lubed my bike chain with some grease from my dad's shop and that was good enough.
