Hello All, wanted to see if anyone had any good leads on wheel builder and mechanic in the OC - I am in huntington and work in Irvine so near those points would be preferable.

Back Story - Had a hell of a wreck today - another guy making a left merge past a turn lane jerked back into my line as I was continuing on. My front spokes shredded on his derailuer and I puddled up on the side of the road. A thanks to the dude for hitting the road rash with some water right away ... was much easier to clean up when I got home. I was riding my tank trainer set - Ultegra 14GA DB'ed Mavic CXP-33s and I am hopeful that the wheel can be fixed.

I saw some reviews for:

but that reference was 2 years ago and I wanted to get some fresh opinions. Any thoughts?

Matt (works for Surf City Cyclery now) and I used to work together. He was taught by the late Joe (who in my opinion was a master mechanic). Hunt him down, I think he works at the Costa Mesa location, but I could be wrong. He is an awesome guy and really talented.

I'm gonna plug my new favorite LBS, Bicycle Discovery in Fountain Valley. They rebuilt my Campy shifter last week to a tune of $25. They are who I'd go to for any wheel truing or custom wheel builds.

Trails End bike shop. Its small but both father and son ride and compete. Been there twice and happy with their work. They do custom wheel builds.
