Dude, would one of you Australians ship me a Holden Crewman Cross (6 or 8, I'm not picky) and get it over with!

I could handle that, heck just bring back the Subaru Baja and I could be happy.

Yeah, but the older I get, the more I find I just care about functionality. My only problem with the Baja is engine size as all of them seem to be 4 cylinders. That just will not work, other wise it would be perfect.

This rule needs amendment....Australia has provided us with a rich bounty of things to refer too.
Cars, bad beers, koala bears, kangaroos, Stever Irwin, "That's not a knife, this is a knife", and certain mods.....

Should we refer to all male Australians as Bruce and all female Australians as Sheila?

So you want me to fix a towing capacity issue by making it even worse at towing?
Now that sounds like an EPG answer. Let's fix the issue by doing something that is no help with low rpm torque.

You did not specifically mention tourque above. You mentioned engine size. Couch assumed you wanted a bigger engine, so he suggested adding a blower.

I saw a sweet, polished up El Camino on the bridge coming back from Cape Cod this weekend. Must have been a garage queen to survive all these years in Massachusetts.

Dungeons & Dragons recently released edition 4, which naturally evolved from edition 3, but edition 3 was published as an 'open source' version and a competitor has published Pathfinder which essentially evolved along a slightly different path from the D&D edition 3 and I think it's a better system than D&D edition 4.
Don't you guys play D&D? I thought there would have been at least a few here that do.

Our family car is the station wagon version of this thing. Nothing to get excited about. If I want to have some goo, belligerent, antisocial fun on my commute I'll ride my road registered XR600 with probably illegally loud exhaust.

How is that any prettier than an El Camino? What I always liked about El Camino is that it roughly translates to "The Way" or "The Road", but it could also be the result of poor conjugation and subject/verb disagreement and mean "He walks".

25 years ago yes. 2nd Ed. It's all cards now...right? (no more dice)
Also dabbled in Avalon Hill games...Squad Leader (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Squad_Leader), Seekrieg (http://www.seekrieg.com/Seekrieg4InfoPage.htm), et al.

My dad had all of those, so I played some (very badly) as a kid. Not nearly as often as Star Fleet Battles, though.

It's not, it's just another bland utilitarian vehicle to serve the needs of a family of 5 as reliably and reasonably economically as possible until it wears beyond economic repair at which time I fully expect it to be dismantled and recycled.
What I always liked about El Camino is that it roughly translates to "The Way" or "The Road", but it could also be the result of poor conjugation and subject/verb disagreement and mean "He walks".

cards? nooooooo... there was a card & minis spinoff game that was reputed to be quite good but I never got into it. Pathfinder (and 4th ed) are true tabletop FRPG's with the 7 different dice, character sheets, and rules books.

El can mean either "the" or "he" depending on whether or not there's an accent. And Camino can either mean "road" or "way" or it can be the first person conjugated form of caminar which means "to walk". So in addition to meaning The Way, it can look like a hillbillly 3rd grader said "he walks". Not quite as bad as the Chevy Nova which bombed in mexico because in spanish "no va" means "it doesn't go", but when I was in 2nd year spanish in high school it seemed pretty stupid to name a car "he walks", but then I learned how to conjugate properly.
If I knew this thread was about Dungeons and Dragons I would have joined the cool kids and started picking on you. I used to drive an El Camino. It was a great car, second only to my Jeep Wrangler as all time favorite car. It even made it onto the big screen in the movie RoboCop.
I also drove a Chevy Nova. Sold it to buy the El Camino.
