Mountain Biking - Mountain Biking Games

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

don't you think it's about time that game manufacturers make a new game about mountain-biking, especially for the PC? The only good game I've played was Downhill Domination for playstation but that game is old. Game makers should make a new game wear you can ride DH or Dj or Street or any type of riding. That game would really appeal to the moutain biking audience.

that would be awesome, but it probably couldnt compete with other games, unfortunately

Your preachin to the choir my friend, BUT I agree. I would like to see one where you race for money and you can upgrade parts like wheels, frames and forx etc. THAT would be cool. But it would have to have a free ride mode so you can just ride and not have to race. I would buy it.

There is one freeriding mtb bike - apparently it's crappy, and no one seems to have it for DL.
There is one BMX game I know of - it's old, and 'abandonware' now, so I can hopefully post the link without violating any stuff:

Anyone remember Cannondale Cup for Super Nintendo? It was kind of hard to control, but you could punch and kick other racers. It had the whole Cannondale team from back in the day (Tinker, Missy, Miles Rockwell, Alison Sydor, etc). I had the box signed by most of the team at the Cactus Cup (I miss that race) one year. I think it was the first mtb game made.

Oooooooh, i do have ONE mountain bike game for PS2, really good, compared to the others that have been made, can do downhilling, freeride, different bikes, specialized, giant, Foes, Intense, trek.... Really good game.
its called Downhill Domination Highly recommended.... The stacks are pretty damn good too :)
Its very arcadey though innit, someone should develop a real sim MTB game.

I am lookign forward to a possible part 2. I would love to see another game come out, but I don't see a huge market for it.

Me 2, i only got it today, borrowing it off of a friend, its very good in my opinion, i dont think its that arcade like.... The most realistic out of the mountain bike games ive played....
I wish the same company that made tony hawks and matt hoffmans made a mountain bike game... those games are by far the best...
yeah Downhill Domination on PS2 is an awesome game! i agree with cornish, they should make more mountain bike games, not many around.
A pic from the game.

Bah! What you do that for man! it 12:30 at night here, and that screenshot has got me in the mood to play it!
I dont think that screenshot does it justice though, the game is much better in real life...
lol yeah i suppose, 12:30 in the UK, it's 11:23am here, just woke up.

yeah downhill domination is a great game.. but unfortunately I don't have a PS2. Most people have a computer.. well everyone on this forum does. I really hope they make a MTBing game soon for PC...

Well, I can see the problem of such a game. Bunnyhops, wheelies that stuff may be hard to pull off without doing a wrong stunt or something. E.g. Bunny hop (Down) to lean back (Up) to get some air. But you may not get the collision right and you won't really hop. I can see such a game becoming really hard. It's not skateboarding.

Hooligan, what game are you talking about?
