Liquor is too harsh for me, wine is good but makes me sleepy, beer is my choice but makes me fat. :D
Guess you can't have it all in life.
lately, the answer has been "yes"

prefer a nice red wine.
dry with food.
port for afterwards.
Mine used to be Vodka. Straight. While on benders, I would drink it all day long. When my body detoxed, I would drink it as early as 3:00 in the morning. DTs sucked.

I'm always in the mood for a good beer. If I know it's not going to be just a casual night of light drinking, I stick with either vodka (or gine) and tonics (or red bull, depending on how late a night it is). If I'm in the city, its vodka and SF redbull all night.

Doesn't matter, I usually drink all three at once. Make a big alcohol slurry slushie.

Beer, sometimes rum and coke or a nice mojito.

I can.
Liquor: Knob Creek Bourbon
Wine: a good St. Emilion bordeaux.
Beer: good old Sam Adams' Boston Lager
G&T in this weather, with a sprig of hemlock.
Otherwise, [real] beer.

Love a good beer.
Love a good red wine.
Can't stand brown liquor.
My favorite drink is probably a Vodka Collins. Perfect on a hot summer day. Low calories as well.

Beer - Whichever microbrew is in the fridge at the time
Wine - Dry red or white - not a fan of the sweeter wines
Spirit - Tequila - Milagro silver of late (in margaritas)

My first choice is always an American craft-brewed India Pale Ale
...but I'll drink nearly anything. Red wine, white wine, rose wine, port, grappa, gin, tequila, mead...
Anything except whisky, bourbon, Scotch, all those brown liquors. DO NOT WANT!

I'll have one bourbon, one scotch and one beer.

Can I say none of the above? Got myself drunk once at college. Hated it. Never touched the stuff since. 21 years and counting....

Beer and the occasional wine. I officially will never drink any sort of liquor again. Maybe the occasional Jameson, which will be rare. But emphasis on never again.

Guinness for me, or a good quality California or Chilean Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot with food, or an inexpensive (but not cheap) late-harvest Zinfandel, Merlot or Syrah for just sipping. Lately I been buying a Dancing Bull Zinfandel or Merlot to start when entertaining friends, and then moving to one of the many New Zealand reds.... Most people seem quite pleased with both the Chilean and the New Zealand varietals, and for the money they are hard to beat.
No liquer though, as I find them hard on my body.

prefer quality beer first but my wine palate is far superior. still, after a hard day/ride, beer is the first choice. usually only tackle liquor when feeling experimental because it usually messes with my sensitive palate more than i like. that being said...have been trying & enjoying more & more of the craft cocktails out there. preferring gin-based stuff because it's closest to wine with all the aromatics. really like citadelle-a french gin. have serious difficulty with scotch/whisk(e)y/bourbon (find it too manipulated) but trying to acclimate and develop an appreciation

Chocolate milk here. I tend to do things in excess, so I've avoided alcohol.

Saw this quote on another blog and thought it fitting for the thread
There are few compounds that are more sinful than the applejack of New Jersey. The name has a homely, innocent appearance, but in reality applejack is a particularly powerful and evil spirit. The man who intoxicates himself on bad whisky is sometimes moved to kill his wife and set his house on fire, but the victim of applejack is capable of blowing up a whole town with dynamite and of reciting original poetry to every surviving inhabitant.– “A Wicked Beverage,” New York Times, April 10, 1894
