Hello everyone, I just found this site yesterday so this is my first post .
I have been preparing for 2 century rides ( Tour de Putnam & NYC bike tour ) that I have planned for this fall . I figured this would be good incentive to get back into shape after a racing boat accident where I broke my back in 2 spots among other things.
I choose to go with a Cannondale Bad Boy for its up right riding position and front suspension which I thought would be easy on my back . Also I am more of a Mountain bike guy plus it looks cool . :thumb:
I'm riding about 100 miles a week doing 2 20 mile rides during the week and 50-60 mile rides on Sundays . I'm increasing the mileage about 5 miles each week on my Sunday rides .
Since I picked up the bike Ive added the "bull horns" on to the handle bars a new seat and clip in pedals .
My question is can you guys recommend some good upgrades for long distance riding for comfort and to lighten it up some ?
Any other suggestions on gear or nutrition are always welcome .
Thanks Kevin
