It's at the dollar store for a reason. ;)
I don't care much for beef jerky. I've had homemade venison jerky that wasn't bad.
Try putting your finger down your throat.

Get some shoe polish and buff it up a bit, then it will at least look like higher quality leather.

My recipe for jerky: grass fed beef, sea salt. People at work line up to get some when I make it. Best jerky ever. It melts in your mouth. The secret is in the slicing and drying.

I love making jerky. The dehydrator is something I wish I brought out way more often. I've found that my best stuff actually comes from a good lean ground beef with the proper seasoning. Our dehydrator came with a caulk-gun looking thing with tips specifically for the purpose of making jerky with ground beef.

I've been eying up the grass fed eye round at the whole foods lately. I'm thinking of making some soon. It's a giant PITA to make it though. I usually do it in the winter.

That's exactly why I don't make it...well that and I don't have the equipment nor the knowledge to make it. How far are you from Lancaster?

Conshy is just a hop, skip and a jump from Lancaster.
However, you'll have to take a number. Here: your number is 458.
I'm currently serving number 6. At the rate I'm filling orders, I will call your number in about 7 years.

My roomie used to make beef jerky in our oven once upon a time. Mmm... except for the time we tried it with spam, which was most assuredly not good.
